For once, Janab is Right ….. From Karadala

March 10, 2014
For once, Janab Farooqh is Right
NEW DELHI: At a time when power subsidy has become a topic of
intense debate in Delhi and elsewhere ahead of
the general elections, the Minister of New and Renewable Energy,
Janab Farooqh Abdullah on Jumma (Friday) pitched for
stopping the practice of “free electricity” to people and
said it was akin to giving them cocaine.

Abdullah said, “The country has to stop giving electricity for free.
It is like giving them cocaine.
Once people get addicted to it, you cannot stop it.
After every five years (election time), you have to
just double the dose of cocaine (to fulfill their desire).”

The Minister used this analogy while speaking at the
occasion of releasing a citizen’s report on the ‘State of Renewable Energy in India’.
The report was prepared by Delhi-based
policy group Centre for Science and Environment (CSE).

Other issues notwithstanding, I am in full agreement with Farooqh,

Promising everything FREE is a National crime,

Even Reservations is a National crime.
